Some cocktails belong in crowded bars. Others belong in quiet rooms filled with candlelight, antique glassware and stories that linger long after the evening ends. The Blackberry Bramble is one of those cocktails.
Fresh blackberries, bright citrus and rich berry liqueur come together to create a drink that's both refreshing and mysterious.
Whether you are unwinding after a paranormal investigation or simply creating a little old-world magic at home, this cocktail is the perfect companion.
Blackberry Bramble Recipe
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz Crème de Mûre
Crushed ice
Lemon slice and blackberries for garnish
Directions
Fill a glass with crushed ice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice. Shake well until thoroughly chilled.
Pour over the crushed ice, then slowly drizzle the Crème de Mûre over the top, allowing it to weave through the drink.
Garnish with fresh blackberries and a lemon slice.
*Because I quadrupled the recipe when I served this cocktail, I combined all the ingredients including the Crème de Mûre in a glass pitcher, poured over crushed ice then garnished with blackberries and lemon slices.
Paranormal Girl Tip
Balance the sweet blackberry and citrus cocktail with savory and salty finger foods such as Marcona almonds, prosciutto wrapped asparagus or whipped goat cheese over a toasted baguette.
Every recipe at Paranormal Girl is inspired by a love of history, beautiful places, mystery and the stories that linger long after the candles have burned low.
Cheers! And here's to haunted evenings and unforgettable adventures.
