Ouija Boards

I received a story from one of our Darkness Radio listeners and wanted to share it with you.  The story begins with the use of a ouija board also known as a spirit board.  Now, most stories that people have told me about bad things happening to them, they usually state that “it all started after we played around with a ouija board”.

Although ouija boards are viewed by some to be a simple toy and are widely sold as a novelty item, the famous psychic, Sylvia Browne, Art Bell from Coast To Coast, Harry Houdini, Manly P. Hall, founder of the Philosophical Research Society, and Edgar Cayce, the “sleeping prophet”, have all said that using the ouija board is dangerous.  However, there are others that believe that it’s not spirits communicating but rather our subconscience.  And Penn & Teller even did an episode on “Bulls**t!” that disproved the powers of a ouija board.

My personal opinion is that the ouija board can be used as a tool to communicate with the spirit world and that sometimes it can lead to trouble because you don’t know who will be stopping by for a visit.

“When I was young, my step aunt gave my sister a ouija board , no one ever played with it and it was placed in the top of her closet for about twenty years or so .

We moved away , and one day , we got a call from my father’s younger brother that the house was broken into.  So my father and sister came to see what was taken, they cleaned up the house (not much was missing) , and they found the old ouija board.  My father is a very religious person so he decided to burn it.  This board did not want to burn and finally he put gasoline on it , and it started to burn very slowly.  The fire rose at least 15 feet with a loud scream!  My father said that the fire died just as fast as it had risen, then black smoke came out of the board and came at him.  It followed him even into the wind.  Then he said that the smoke went down and began to burn again.

They came back home and the next day we had all gone to church.  When we got home, none of our keys worked on the houe ( we lived 157 miles away from where he had burned the board)!!!  So my father pushed on the kitchen door, that was busted at the bottom, to try to get in just enough to unlock the door. When he did, the window in the door busted out onto him!  Well we got in and my father said that his shoe was wet on the inside.   He pulled up his slacks pant leg and he had a 4 inch gash in his leg about 1 inch deep 1 inch wide!  We found no flesh on the ground or in his shoe,  no blood on any of the glass, and no rip in his pants leg!

After that, we lived in the same house for another 8 to 10 years with pretty weird stuff going on.   Strange stuff had happened before in that house but after that, it grew more!  Can you explain it?”
